To date Mercy Ships has been pretty quiet about the work they do, relying on donations from few, faith-based donors with deep pockets and a long-standing commitment to Mercy Ships. However, to sustain and build support for Mercy Ships, there is a growing need to expand its base of support and engage a younger, broader audience to champion the cause. This is especially critical now, as Mercy Ships prepares to launch a new ship and the significant funding required to complete, supply and sustain the ship as well as the people who will be living aboard. We have the opportunity to create a groundswell of support for an organization that currently has limited awareness. To bring the mission of Mercy Ships to the forefront of pop culture and compel a new, young group of Millennials to get involved and generate support.
